Desperate for money, legendary filmmaker Orson Welles secretly agreed to direct a Japanese science fiction spy thriller for Daiei Studios in 1972. Upon viewing the final cut, Welles burned the negatives, and the film was never released. All that remains of the ill-fated project is a trailer, recently discovered in the tsunami debris near Fukushima, Japan.
